Guiding Principle

Uncommon Individual Foundation operates under 12 fundamental guiding principals:

  • We maintain the fundamental truth that every human being is a unique individual, each autonomous, self-contained and endowed with ultimate individual worth, never to be used or abused as the means to any other ends.

  • We respect every individual’s right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

  • We treat other individuals, as we want to be treated – with dignity, respect, kindness, honesty, fairness and integrity.

  • We will not do for other individuals that which they can do for themselves.

  • We do not support or tolerate individuals hurting themselves, individuals harming other individuals or the destruction of property.

  • We endorse and employ appropriate applications of technology to assist individuals in improving societal well-being and to enrich each individual throughout a lifetime engaged in the pursuit of their personal happiness.

  • We have the responsibility to conduct with consistency all aspects of our business, as well as our individual personal behavior – with integrity, including the highest ethical standards.

  • We demand ethical behavior of ourselves and expect ethical behavior in dealings with other individuals.

  • We believe in respectful interaction between all individuals recognizing the supreme value of each unique individual.

  • We take intelligent risks and will endure repeated disappointments without discouragement.  Our tenacious commitment to our mission is permanent, resilient and durable to last beyond any one lifetime well into the future.

  • We aspire to promote individual uniqueness, to strive for individual excellence, and to inspire individual innovation throughout each UIF enterprise.

  • We accept that change is inevitable; therefore we seek to leverage ideas for improvement and dare to ignite the promise of individual growth.
