Mentorsphere Participants

Protégé – An Individual Participant who becomes the Leader or Venture Leader and is the driving force of any Mentorsphere they choose to lead.  The Protégé is responsible for engaging this mentoring infrastructure for creating, focusing and pursuing their personal (My Mentorsphere) or venture-oriented (Venture Mentorsphere) dreams.

Leader/Protégé or Protégé/Leader – Descriptive terms used to emphasize the leadership responsibility of the Protégé.

Leader – A Protégé who engages and becomes the Leader of their My Mentorsphere™.

Venture Leader – A Protégé who assumes the role of leadership of a Venture Project they initiate or otherwise choose to lead.

Mentege - An Individual Participant in an identified Mentorsphere who may function sequentially or simultaneously in more than one capacity in the same Mentorage.  This can be understood as a Protégé, coach, advisor, Mentor or other participant.  A Mentege will also engage their personal My Mentorsphere for their own individual purposes.

Mentor - An Individual Participant selected by a Leader who has agreed to serve in one or more My Mentorsphere and/or Venture Mentorsphere enterprise as part of its available mentoring resources. As such, a Mentor mostly serves in an advisory or assistance role to the Leader.  A Mentor will also engage their personal My Mentorspherefor their own individual purposes.
 
Mentorage – A group of individuals selected by the Leader or Venture Leader who participate in a focused Mentorsphere as a mentoring resource in support of its leadership and dreams.

Venture Mentorsphere Advisor - An individual mentor associated with an organizational enterprise, which is encouraging the development of Venture Projects and Venture Leaders. Such support can include faculty, students, researchers, scientists, alumni, clubs, professional and social organizations, friends, employees, former employees, customers and other organizational supporters, and are referred to as the organizational brain trust. An Advisor is responsible for identifying and cultivating the brain trust, and to make appropriate parts of it available to each identified Venture Mentorsphere as mentoring resources. The Advisor will also monitor the progress of each organizationally associated Venture Mentorsphere and coordinate venture-reporting activities with the UIF. An Advisor will also periodically meet with Venture Leaders and help connect them with the brain trust and other mentoring resources, as appropriate.
