Internships & Mentoring for Career Exploration

The Uncommon Individual Foundation works with start-ups, corporations, and community organizations in the Philadelphia region to facilitate meaningful work experiences for high school and college students. The Foundation recognizes the important role that work and internships play in building confidence, gaining self-esteem, and creating professional opportunities for young people.

Our mentors prepare students to undertake project-based work (in-person, virtual or hybrid), give them guidance throughout their internship assignment, and provide the host company with information to continuously improve their internship offering. Host companies receive quality work while giving young people an opportunity to grow and gain valuable professional skills.
